History
VERUM GROUP started its activity in 2001 by launching the largest production facility from the Republic of Moldova specialised in grain processing, with an annual capacity of 100 thousand tons.
In 2005 VERUM GROUP established its own agriculture company specialised in cultivation of field crops - wheat, barley, corn, rapeseed, sunflower. The company acts in Floresti district which is situated in the main grain production zone from the Republic of Moldova.
In 2006 VERUM GROUP acquired and modernised the largest meat processing production facility located in the North of the Republic of Moldova. Thus the group expanded its activity in food processing with the mission to satisfy consumer need in basic products.
In 2008 VERUM GROUP launched its own production unit in the field of pig growing. The unit manages a complete production cycle from breeding to slaughter. Thus the group secured its raw material base for meat processing.
In 2009 VERUM GROUP acquired and modernised one of the largest bread production units located in the North of the Republic of Moldova. Thus the group expanded its portfolio of food products offered to final consumers.
In 2010 VERUM GROUP acquired and modernized the largest combine specialized in feed production. The unit also has its own elevator with a capacity of over 30 thousand tons. Thus the group ensured its fodder base for the expansion of its livestock.
In 2013 VERUM GROUP has acquired the largest grain elevator from the Northern part of the Republic of Moldova with a total storage capacity of 86 thousand tons and situated in Gura Camencii village, Floresti district. The elevator has acces to railway and international roads. Therefore VERUM GROUP has the possibility to store in optimum conditions its own production, as well as commodities bought from the farmers active in the region.
In 2018 VERUM GROUP launched cultivation of sorghum which resistant to drought and contains a high proportion of proteins. The sowing seeds are imported directly from France and are adapted to the Moldovan climate conditions. At the same time VERUM GROUP launched cooperation with other agriculture producers from the Republic of Moldova interested in cultivation of sorghum.
In 2021 VERUM GROUP enlarged its export of agriculture commodities outside Black Sea region. Thus directly or through trading partners more than 30 thousand tons of grains and oilseeds have been exported to Turkey, Italy, China, Singapore, Bangladesh. The quality of Moldovan agriculture commodities was highly appreciated by our clients.
