VERUM GROUP Supports Circular Economy and Youth Development
Between November 11-15, 2024, Chișinău hosted the Innovation Camp, an event organized by Junior Achievement Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research and USAID. By supporting this initiative, Verum Group, a leader in Moldova's agroindustrial sector, reaffirms its commitment to the circular economy and the development of sustainable communities.
Innovation Camp 2024 brought together youth from across the country who, with the guidance of mentors, explored innovative solutions for sustainable food resource management. Vitalie Arvinte, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at Verum Group, PhD in economics, and a member of the jury, highlighted the importance of the circular economy in supporting sustainable urban communities.
“At Verum Group, we believe that the circular economy is the key to transforming communities sustainably. The young participants at Innovation Camp have shown that their innovative ideas can harness local resources and reduce food waste. Our support for them represents a commitment to educating and empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs to turn these visions into reality,” stated Vitalie Arvinte.
As part of its commitment to the circular economy, Verum Group contributed to the event through two of its flagship companies—Combinatul de Pâine din Bălți and Filletti—to support the young participants and share sustainable best practices.
Andrei Costîc, General Manager of Combinatul de Pâine din Bălți, remarked: “Sustainable innovation starts with the youth. Our partnership with Innovation Camp enables us to contribute to creating a sustainable future. At our bakery, we not only revive traditions by baking bread from natural ingredients without additives but also pass on the values of honest production to future generations. We believe that a commitment to tradition, a focus on quality, and responsibility toward society are the keys to success for future generations.”
Miroslav Finciuc, General Manager of Filletti, added: “At Filletti family, we are dedicated to the principles of sustainable development, following the philosophy of ‘from field to table.’ For over 12 years, we have produced natural foods, invested in our own farms, partnered with responsible suppliers who share our ESG principles, and maintained the highest standards of quality and safety. By participating in this project, we not only contribute to the development of the younger generation but also instill the values of responsible production, which are essential for building a healthy and sustainable future for society.”
Innovation Camp 2024 serves as a catalyst for innovative ideas focused on the circular economy and sustainability. By supporting this event, Verum Group invests in tomorrow’s leaders, promoting a future where resources are managed responsibly, and waste is minimized.
