In 2023, VERUM GROUP harvested over 5 thousand tons of sorghum. This crop has become an important element in crop rotation, being a cost-effective choice in the climate change landscape, being drought resistant.

Sown late, with careful soil preparation, we get remarkable results, even in specific conditions. Cultivating sorghum contributes to improving the soil structure and supports its drainage thanks to deep and well-developed roots.

This crop is a good precursor to both autumn and spring crops. Sorghum stands out for its ability to utilize sandy and alkaline soils more efficiently than other plants. VERUM GROUP is the largest producer of sorghum in the Republic of Moldova.
